DESCRIPTION
This position reports to the Unemployment Compensation Program Manager. The incumbent will have the responsibility to provide to all customers and suppliers timely and appropriate services in an environment that is customer-focused, data-driven, process-oriented, team-centered, partner-interdependent and sensitive to human diversity.
This a managerial position responsible for planning, directing and coordinating the activities of professional staff responsible for Unemployment Compensation (UC) service delivery.
Provide management consultant services to UC Services in the area of unemployment compensation claims taking and adjudication activities for the Ft. Lauderdale Hub in order to improve management capabilities and operational procedures. This includes planning, coordinating and directing an organizational entity composed of initial claims taking and adjudication functions.
Ensure that applicable laws, rules, policies and procedures are adhered to and that established performance standards and desired levels of achievement are met or exceeded. Assess needs for staffing, training, equipment, office facilities, and take appropriate action.
Provides guidance for supervisors to promote the most efficient and effective accomplishment of the operating objectives. Advises management on problems and policies related to program and operational issues. Consults with staff and management to identify areas of concern and recommend possible solutions. Provides technical assistance regarding programmatic issues and assists in interpreting rules, policies, legislation and standards. Reviews and evaluates operating reports and initiates corrective actions when required.
Manages the activities and workflow of associates with responsibility for authorization of leave, attendance records and performance appraisals. Plans work objectives and deadlines.
Participates in conferences, workshops, inter-organizational teams and similar activities relevant to planning and resource management.
This position will be required to travel to locations throughout the State of Florida and to conferences as appropriate within the U.S.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Experience supervising large call center environment or similar operation.
EDUCATION:
BA degree with preference given to Master's Degree and 5 years minimum experience in Unemployment Compensation or associated field.
Salary range $80,000 - $95,000 - depending on level of experience.

If you file your complaint with the recipient, you must wait either until the recipient issues a written Notice of Final Action, or until 90 days have passed (whichever is sooner), before filing with the Civil Rights Center (see address above).
