New "Equal Opportunity is the Law" Poster Available The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has revised its Equal Employment Opportunity is the Law poster. This new version shows current federal employment discrimination law, including the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act of 2008. GAO Report: DHS Has Opportunities to Better Identify and Address Barriers to EEO in Its Workforce GAO recommends that DHS (1) develop a strategy to regularly include employee input in identifying potential barriers to EEO and (2) establish interim milestones for completing planned activities to address identified barriers. GAO Report: Options for Improving Equity in State Grants and Considerations for Performance Incentives State vocational rehabilitation (VR) agencies play a crucial role in helping individuals with disabilities obtain employment. In fiscal year 2008, the Department of Education (Education) distributed over $2.8 billion in grants to state agencies, using a funding formula that was last revised in 1978.
