    This weeks Bulletin includes an update on legislation to extend unemployment insurance benefits including a detailed description of the proposed legislation.     Jobs Bill Reintroduced In Congress, Includes Path to Citizenship, H-2A Changes
    The Agricultural Job Opportunities and Benefits Act (S. 1038) has been reintroduced in both Houses of Congress, legislation to ease shortages of farm labor by allowing illegal immigrants to continue working in the U.S. agricultural sector while they gradually obtain full legal status.  (05/19/09)
    USDOL Releases Guidance On Trade Adjustment Assistance and Competitive Grants Under Recovery Act
    On Friday, May 15th, the Employment and Training Administration released guidance on the expansion and overhaul of the Trade Adjustment Assistance program, which becomes effective on Monday, May 18. The guidance, Training and Employment Guidance Letter No. 22-08.  (05/19/09)

    ETA has issued Training and Employment Guidance Letter 20-08 providing Workforce Investment Act Adult, Dislocated Worker, and Youth Activities Program Allotments for Program Year 2009.  (05/12/09)
    H-2A Regulations Request to Suspend
    On Tuesday, February 17, 2009, the U.S. Department of Labor issued a Federal Register notice proposing to suspend for 9 months the H-2A regulations published on December 18, 2008. Comments are due on or before March 27, 2009.  (03/18/09)
    USDOL Releases TEGL 13-08
    TEGL 13-08 provides states and outlying areas with stimulus allotments under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 to supplement Program Year (PY) 2008 allotments for WIA Title I Adult, Dislocated Worker and Youth Activities Programs, and Employment Service (ES) activities, as required by the Wagner-Peyser Act, as amended, and to provide RES Allotments.  (03/06/09)
    DOL Guidance on Workforce Provisions in Stimulus (TEN 30-08)
    The U.S. Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration (ETA) is issuing the attached Employment and Training Notice, which provides an overview of ETA’s implementation strategy for Workforce Investment Act and Wagner-Peyser funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.     National Labor Exchange's (NLX) Rapid Reemployment Initiative Nearing Completion
