Legislation Introduced To Expand Job Training For Veterans
Legislation has been introduced in the House by Representative Rosa L. DeLauro (D-CT) to expand college job training and apprenticeship opportunities for Iraq and Afghanistan war veterans. The legislation would expand the Post-9/11 G.I. Bill to include a subsidy for job training and apprenticeship programs for veterans who do not pursue college. (08/10/09) |
Senate Confirms Ray Jefferson To Be Assistant Secretary of Labor for Veterans' Employment and Training
Today the Senate unanimously confirmed disabled veteran Ray Jefferson to be Assistant Secretary of Labor for Veterans’ Employment and Training.
