NASWA Award Nominations Due
NASWA announces the Call for Nominations for its 2009 Awards: Eagle Award, SEAL Award, and the James F. Walls Award. Nominations are also open for two Committee-Sponsored Awards: Baumgardner Award and Sanders Award. The deadline for submitting nominations is Friday, July 24, 2009. Each year, at the NASWA Annual Conference, the Board of Directors presents several national awards that have a long history of recognizing contributions to the success of the nation’s public system. NASWA encourages all State Workforce Agencies’ staff to consider submitting nominations for one or more of the categories.  (06/11/09)

The Congressional Research Service is seeking candidates for the position of Assistant Director for Domestic Social Policy. The Domestic Social Policy Division comprises six research and policy groups: Children and Families, Domestic Security and Immigration, Education and Labor, Health Insurance and Financing, Health Services Research and Aging Policy, and Income Support & Research Development.
