    NASWA Requests $3.4 Billion For Workforce Programs
    This past week, NASWA submitted its annual appropriations testimony to Congress and the Obama Administration requesting an additional $3.4 billion in funding for the workforce system. The additional funding is needed to accommodate higher levels of unemployed workers and record numbers of workers being served by workforce programs.   (08/10/09)

    USDOL Releases TEGL 13-08
    TEGL 13-08 provides states and outlying areas with stimulus allotments under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 to supplement Program Year (PY) 2008 allotments for WIA Title I Adult, Dislocated Worker and Youth Activities Programs, and Employment Service (ES) activities, as required by the Wagner-Peyser Act, as amended, and to provide RES Allotments.  (03/06/09)
